On the main field of Landgoed Mariënwaerdt, you will find the cars that tell the story of the automobile. An international jury evaluates them on authenticity, condition, and presentation. Freely accessible on Saturday and Sunday with your ticket.
A Concours d’Elegance is a competition. Cars are lined up by class and examined up close: is the car authentic, what is its condition, and how is it presented? The judgment is all about the details: the correct upholstery, the correct paint, the correct screw.
For you as a visitor, this means you see the cars as they were intended: quiet, clean, and with the owner nearby to answer your questions.

Landgoed Mariënwaerdt is neither a trade show floor nor a racetrack. The cars are displayed on grass, under old trees, with the estate's farmhouses as a backdrop. That is why owners from all over Europe bring their cars here.
The main field is within walking distance of the entrance and is freely accessible all day with your ticket.
Is the car as it left the factory, with the correct engine, color, upholstery, and specifications.
The quality of restoration or preservation, down to the engine bay and the trunk.
The documented story of the car: owners, races, and paperwork.
How the car is positioned on the field, and how the owner presents it.
Every year, the jury selects one car from all the class winners as the best in the field.
From Paleis Het Loo via Paleis Soestdijk to Landgoed Mariënwaerdt. In addition to Best of Show, the jury selects a winner in every class.
