ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The Concours d'Elegance in its current form has been around since 1999, when the first edition took place at Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn that year. The winning car of that year was the beautiful 1933 Revelli di Beaumont/Castagna Lancia Astura Tourer, and in the years that followed, Het Loo Palace remained the setting for the Concours d'Elegance. Winning cars included the collections of Evert Louwman and Corrado Lopresto.
In 2019, twenty years after the first edition, the event moved to Soestdijk Palace. With a history of a quarter of a century, the Concours d'Elegance Mariënwaerdt is still (far) not the oldest competition in the world. For example, the history of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este dates back to 1929, and Pebble Beach also has an impressive history: that competition has been around since 1950.
Since 2023, the Concours d'Elegance has been taking place at the beautiful Mariënwaerdt estate near Beesd during the Wheels Mariënwaerdt. After a successful first edition at the estate, the event will take place again at the Mariënwaerdt estate in 2025.
