100 Years of Carrozzeria Touring

Touring's Light-footed Elegance

Compared to Turin, Milan, located a hundred kilometers to the east, had a less extensive automotive industry. But while brands like Alfa Romeo and Isotta Fraschini enjoyed worldwide fame, the name Carrozzeria Touring was synonymous with subtle elegance.

The company name – founded 100 years ago by Carlo Felice Anderloni and Gaetano Ponzoni – stood for gracefully streamlined lightweight constructions, known worldwide as Superleggera.

This "superlight" principle was achieved by cladding a welded, pre-formed tubular frame with hand-beaten aluminum bodywork. Touring introduced the Superleggera name on an Alfa Romeo 6C-2300 during the 1937 Mille Miglia.

Trial Experience

As in the first two editions, we will use the former course of the World Four-in-Hand Driving Championship for horses to drive 4x4 vehicles. In recent years, Land Rover Defenders have played a significant role.

In 2025, we celebrated "40 years of Audi Quattro" with various rally monsters; the Dakar version even lifted its front wheels off the ground. This year, Audi and Land Rover will once again make an appearance on the unpaved terrain of Marienwaerdt.

Book Market

Since the Concours at Paleis Het Loo, various book stalls have been present on the grounds during the event. Over the past two years, seven different booksellers have offered their collections in the estate's barn.
