During the event, roadworks are in progress on the A2 southbound (Utrecht → 's-Hertogenbosch), between exit 13 Culemborg and on-ramp 15 Geldermalsen. The good news: exit 14 Beesd remains open throughout the event. Do allow for extra travel time, and pay attention when leaving in the evening.
Allow extra travel time
Throughout the roadworks section, 3 of 4 lanes are available and a 90 km/h speed limit applies. During morning and evening rush hour, expect up to 60 minutes of extra travel time. Leave with plenty of time to spare, especially on Friday 11 September.
Arriving from the north (towards Den Bosch)?
- Keep to the two right-hand lanes on the A2 for exit 14 Beesd. This is signed on temporary overhead gantries.
- If you end up on the left-hand contraflow lane (behind the crash barrier), you can only turn around at junction Deil. Pay close attention to the signs.
- Lanes are narrowed and repositioned.
Arriving from the south?
All on- and off-ramps in the northbound direction are open as normal. No issues to report.
Heading south? Watch the clock
The event closes on Friday 11 September at 19:00, on Saturday 12 September at 18:00, and on Sunday 13 September at 17:00. From 20:00 onwards, the on-ramps towards 's-Hertogenbosch between junction Everdingen and Geldermalsen will close; the A2 itself closes there from 21:00 until 05:00 (until 07:00 at weekends).
- Leaving shortly after closing time? You can take on-ramp 14 Beesd onto the A2 southbound as normal. On Saturday and Sunday you have plenty of time; on Friday it is tighter, so leave promptly.
- Leaving after 20:00? Drive through Beesd and use on-ramp 15 Geldermalsen southbound, which stays open.
- Staying at a hotel in Gorinchem? After 20:00, the route through Beesd via on-ramp 15 Geldermalsen also applies to you and to coaches.
