The first Youngtimer Concours at Wheels Mariënwaerdt was a resounding success. On a sunny Saturday, 36 classic and youngtimer automobiles competed for the title of Best of Show, judged on originality, condition, and presentation.
The jury unanimously awarded Best of Show to Werner Koenen from Oss, with his immaculately preserved 1986 Audi 100 1.8 CD. The four-door saloon scored perfectly on all judging criteria: original paint, a spotless interior, and a complete service history. For Koenen, Wheels Mariënwaerdt was his first ever concours event.
The entry field was notably diverse. From a first-generation Daihatsu Charade to an Alpina B12 5.7 -- a hand-built grand tourer with a 5.7-litre V12 -- virtually every niche of automotive history from the 1970s to the mid-1990s was represented. Alongside concours purists, several cars showed traces of use: a family estate with original stickers in the rear window, a roadster with patina-covered leather.
The judging panel consisted of five experts from the classic car world who assessed each entry blind -- without knowing the owner. Points were awarded in three categories: exterior, interior, and mechanical condition.

The Youngtimer Concours will return as part of the Wheels Mariënwaerdt programme in 2027. Registration opens in the spring. Keep an eye on this page for updates.
